MURIC Calls For Sober Reflection At Easter

MURICThe Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has felicitated with Nigerian Christians on the occasion of Easter.
The Director of MURIC, Isiaq Akintola, in a message yesterday, charged Christians to use the Easter celebration as a period of sober reflection on the current situation in the country.
Mr. Akintola, a professor, wondered why Nigeria that is blessed with abundant human and material resources, including crude oil, cannot supply enough for its citizens, in apparent reference to the problem of fuel scarcity across the country.
He urged Nigerians to join hands to rebuild the country with religious leaders preaching love and being models in tolerance and forgiveness.
On the state of the nation, the MURIC director said it was unfortunate that the time President Muhammadu Buhari came on board was when the economy was hit by an unprecedented downturn apart from the global oil price crash.
