Ogun Seals Up Illegal Structures

The Ogun State Government has begun a clampdown on illegal structures in the state, sealing up about 15 illegal structures, including fuel stations in Abeokuta, the state capital for violation of urban and physical planning laws of the state.

Speaking on the development, the state’s Commissioner for Urban and Physical Planning, Mr Adebola Adeife, said that this became imperative in view of the observed impunity with which residents erect their structures without following the due process.

He appealed to residents to approach any of the offices of the Urban and Physical Planning Ministry to perfect papers and approval for their buildings.
