On this day in 2010, five thousand (5,000) activists staged a march in Abuja to demand the sacking of the cabinet and a public appearance by former ailing President “Umaru Yar’Adua two weeks after he returned to the country…

The late President, Umaru Yar’ Adua Earlier before this date had been ill and flown abroad for treatment. He stayed for so long that there was pressure that his government should be retired and his deputy sworn in as replacement.

The supporters of the ailing President flew him back into the country but, he was so ill that he could not get back to to office.
