Don’t Panic Over Low Flying Aircraft, Lagos Urges Residents As NAF Begins Night Flying Training Today

NAFThe Lagos State Government has advised residents of the state not to panic as the Nigerian Air Force commences night flying training exercise in the state tonight.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the State’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde.
According to the statement, the exercise is to commence today, April 18 and continue till April 23, from 7.00pm – 11.00pm daily.
“This exercise will involve the usage of the C-130 Hercules Aircraft by the Nigerian Air Force and the 201 Heavy Airlift Group”, Mr. Ayorinde said.
He further explained that the C-130 Hercules Air craft would fly very low in some locations across the state, but assured that residents should not panic as all precautionary and safety measures had been put in place.
The Commissioner further urged residents to go about their normal lawful duties, as the exercise would be conducted with a very insignificant discomfort.
“The only unusualness of the exercise is the low flying nature of the aircraft and the increase in noise level which will be noticed during the six days exercise, only along the training routes”, Mr. Ayorinde said.
