Olisa MetuhThe National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, is currently lying at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Hospital, Abuja after he collapsed on Tuesday.
The PDP spokesman slumped during the inauguration of the Yobe and Borno states caretaker committees at the Wadata Plaza national secretariat of the party located in the Wuse Zone 5 District of Abuja.
PREMIUM TIMES reports that an associate and an aide of Mr. Metuh confirmed the incident.
A source close to the PDP chieftain said Mr. Metuh suddenly collapsed during the event, and was unable to move his body.
“The incident happened in the full glare of all those who attended the programme including party members and journalist”, the source said.
He also confirmed that Mr. Metuh was being treated at the National Hospital.
