Dasukigate: Despite Ill-Health, Ex-PDP Spokesman, Metuh Makes Court Appearance

OLISA METUHChief Olisa Metuh on Monday morning appeared in court in continuation of his trial, despite ill-health.
The erstwhile national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is standing trial on a seven-count charge brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for allegedly receiving N400 million from former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
Mr. Metuh threw up at the car park of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja last Thursday, after receiving treatment at the National Hospital the previous night.
Counsel to defendant, Mr. Emeka Etiaba (SAN), had told the court that he advised Metuh to attend the trial since he had no prior knowledge of the PDP chieftain’s true state of health.
The trial judge, Okon Abang, adjourned the trial to today, Monday, May 23, for continuation of trial.
