A former Director General of  Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, (NIMASA), Raymond Omatseye, who has been on trial  for offences bordering on contract splitting and bid rigging to the tune of about N1.5 billion has been sentenced to five years in prison by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos…

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had arraigned Omatseye for allegedly engaging in contract splitting and bid rigging estimated at over N1.5bn while he was the DG of NIMASA and was charged on a 27-count charge.
