Orlu PDP Chieftains Seek Senator Uzodinma’s Suspension From Party

Hope UzodinmaSome chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Orlu zone of Imo State have called on the national leadership of the party to suspend Senator Hope Uzodinma from the party.
They alleged That Uzodinma, who is the senator representing Imo West, perpetrated series of violations considered inimical to party discipline and progress during the last ward and local government congresses of the party.
Chief Ahamefule Dike and Jude Nnajiude, in a joint press statement issued in Owerri, the state capital yesterday, explained that “Uzodinma’s desperation to continue to hold everybody to ransom is pushing him into self-destruction politically”.
They stated that contrary to the senator’s behaviour in recent times, the people of Orlu were known for their team work, truth and honesty.
They said: “Uzodinma’s desire to be either governor in 2019, or a godfather who determines who gets anything within the PDP is what is propelling him into indulging in this unfortunate behavior”.
In a swift reaction, a media consultant to the senator, Mr Modestus Nwamkpa, said the allegation was frivolous, adding that Senator Uzodinma cannot be suspended.
