The Senate today passed the Bill for an Act to Provide Measures Against Climate Change for the second time.

“As the world works to tackle the effects of Global Warming, Nigeria must join in the efforts being taken by nations around the world to address this pressing issue that contributes to negative changes in the environment,” Senate President Bukola Saraki said in a statement.

He also said that a Bill for an Act to Make Provisions for Freedom from Hunger also passed the Second Reading today at the floor of the Senate.

According to him, the bill is envisioned to make adequate food of acceptable quality the right of every Nigerian child’s basic nutrition.
