Work Patiently With My Administration, Buhari Urges Nigerians

BuhariPresident Muhammadu Buhari has urged Nigerians to patiently work with his administration, assuring them that his government was on the right path to make Nigeria a prosperous country.
The president made the call in Lagos yesterday during the commissioning and handing over of police metro patrol vehicles, patrol power bikes and other security equipment donated to security agencies by the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in commemoration of his first year anniversary in office.
Represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Mr. Buhari said “We are convinced that we are on the right path. We urge Nigerians to patiently work with this government”.
“This country is going to be a nation of abundance and prosperity”, he added.
President Buhari, however, noted that there were a lot of adjustments to be made to achieve such feat.
Osinbajo, who stressed that the damage of the past was being repaired, said Buhari asked him to assure the people of Lagos and all Nigerians “that we are on the path of progress”.
On the recent increment in pump price of petrol, the vice president said the nation had come to a crucial point where it had no choice but to “liberalise” the fuel market with the expectation that in future, the price would come down.
Mr. Osinbajo also expressed delight that organized labour had agreed to work with the government.
In his remarks, the Inspector-General of Police, Solomon Arase, thanked the Lagos State Government for the provision of security vehicles and equipment, assuring that the police would continue to ensure peace and stability in the nation’s commercial capital.
During Osinbajo’s visit, he inaugurated the Lagos State Emergency Agency (LASEMA) Response Unit as well as the Ago Okota Palace Road.
