Edo 2016: PDP Places N16m Price Tag On Nomination Form

PDPAhead of the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has placed a price tag of N16 million on its nomination and expression of interest forms for interested aspirants.
The party explained that while the expression of interest and nomination form would each be sold for N11 million, N5 million would be charged as administrative fees bringing the total to N16m.
The spokesman for the Edo PDP, Chris Nehikhare, made this known on Wednesday.
According to Mr. Nehikhare, the party’s aspirants were expected to purchase the forms from the PDP state secretariat in Benin City, the state capital, as from Wednesday.
Some of the aspirants that have expressed interest to run for the Edo governorship seat on the platform of PDP include a former Secretary to the State Government, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu; a former commissioner with the Niger Delta Development Commission, Matthew Iduoriyekemwen; the Director General of the PDP Governors Forum, Osaro Onaiwu; and Chief Solomon Edebiri.
