A Japanese boy who was reported missing in a forest where his parents abandoned him for ‘being naughty’ has been found alive.
Identified as Yamato Tanooka, the seven year old boy was found near a military barracks and his parents admitted that they went too far. They apologised during a media conference shortly after their son was found; “My excessive act forced my son to have a painful time,” his father said,
“I deeply apologise to people at his school, people in the rescue operation, and everybody for causing them trouble,”
“I have poured all my love into my son, but from now on, I would want to do more, together with him. I would like to protect him while he grows up. Thank you very much.”
After days of intensive search, he was found inside a building just near where he was abandoned by his parents.
