Red Cross Apologises For Racist Poster

The Red Cross has tendered an apology for a poster which quickly went viral on Twitter.

The poster of Swimming pool do’s and don’ts was deemed racist and offensive by many Twitter users. It portrayed mostly black children performing ‘not cool’ acts.

In a statement on its website, the Red Cross said,

 “We deeply apologize for any misunderstanding, as it was absolutely not our intent to offend anyone. As one of the nation’s oldest and largest humanitarian organizations, we are committed to diversity and inclusion in all that we do, every day”
