Skrillex and Justin Bieber were hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit last week for the smash hit ‘Sorry‘ off Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ album.
The duo are being sued by songwriter Casey Dienel who claims that ‘Sorry’ copied the opening riff of her song ‘Ringing bells’. Part of her lawsuit states”the vocal riff is a qualitatively and quantitatively distinct and integral element”.
Skrillex who produced the song denied Dienel’s allegations in a post on Twitter;
