When he sought to know the reason, he got a rude response from the official who told him “Oga no disturb us. No be only you dey travel” ‎.

The traveller was then pounced upon by two officials of the airline when he demanded for a refund.

The officials were said to have wrestled him to the ground while his wife and children watched helplessly.

Passengers who were waiting for other airlines intervened and saved the situation which had already degenerated to a free for all.

Later some security officials later intervened and tried to calm the situation. Their efforts were said to be fruitless.

Some soldiers were then drafted into the hall to maintain calm.

An Arik official was said to blame the cancellation of flights on lack of aviation fuel.
