Death Toll In Baghdad Bombings Rises To 200

Two Sunday morning bombings in Baghdad have sent Iraq reeling in what is the second deadliest terror attack in the country this year.

The IS group claimed responsibility for both bombings on Sunday night where at least 126 people were reported dead.

Iraqi authorities have now confirmed that the death toll is now up to 200. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi has called for three days of National mourning but Iraqis are outraged. A lot of blame has been directed at the Government for failing to protect its citizens.

Haider Al-Abadi had announced last week that Iraqi forces had fully liberated the city of Fallujah but it appears that ISIL has not lost its momentum.

The group has claimed responsibility for numerous bomb attacks this year as fears that the death toll from Sunday’s attack could rise even further.
