An 8 year-old girl is said to be in critical condition after being stabbed yesterday at Laragne resort in Hautes-Alpes, France because of the way she was dressed.
She was air-lifted to a nearby hospital with a punctured lung. Her 46 year-old mother and two sisters, aged 12 and 14, were also stabbed during the attack. According to police, the man fled the scene immediately after the attack as eyewitnesses said the group were eating breakfast when the attacker struck.
Local media claim the attacker made references to them being “too lightly dressed”. Police have confirmed the arrest of a 37 year-old man of Moroccan origin.
“The motive of the attack is very blurred.” said local prosecutor Raphael Balland.
This is recent attack occurs less than a week after the Nice attack.
