An e-mail that was allegedly sent to Nigerian athletes meant to represent the country in the up coming rio olympics telling them to pay their way to the competition has surfaced online.

Sports journalist, Collin Udoh who we all know for anchoring sport shows on super sports shared the picture on his twitter page which he claimed is the email from the sports ministry.

Collin Wrote: “This is the email from Nigeria Sports Ministry to athletes to pay their way to Rio when they’re still being owed outstandings. Second, the semi-literate who wrote this should actually be fired for crimes against spelling, grammar and punctuation! #Disgrace #Rio2016 @rio2016”.

The sports minister Solomon Dalung through a statement released by his special assistant on media denied sending any email to the athletes telling them to buy their own tickets to Rio. He also stated that it’s the primary duty of the ministry to fund the athletes and investigations were ongoing to find out who was responsible.
