Today is the World Humanitarian Day. For the sake of thousands of families that have had their lives uprooted by terrorist actions of Boko Haram, senate president Bukola Saraki offers recommendations which are intended to begin the relief, recovery and rehabilitation of the North East region.

The Senate president further stated that upon resumption of 8th Senate ,they have prioritised the passage of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) Bill. The Bill, he says is intended to be the primary rehabilitation and development program for the affected areas.
