A Coca-Cola plant located in Signes, a village in southern France is currently under investigation for the discovery of cocaine on the premises of the production plant. The cocaine discovered by authorities is thought to have a street value of 50 million euro (£42m).

Authorities believe the drugs were smuggled alongside the concentrates which Coca-Cola ususlly imports for the production of some of their soft drinks.

Employees were initially told to stay off work during the investigation on suspicions of their involvement, but it is seems to have been established that they are not involved in the smuggling of the drug.

Investigation is still ongoing as the company added that cocaine has never been added to their product as an ingredient.
