Former FIFA President, Joao Havelange Has Died

A former president of the world football governing body, Fifa, Joao Havelange has died at the age of 100.

Havelange served as FIFA president from 1974 to 1998 and was succeeded by Sepp Blatter. He was then named honorary president before resigning from the position in 2013 after he was linked with allegations of bribery.

One of his notable achievements as FIFA president was expanding the number of teams in the World cup from 16 to 32.
