FRSC To Go On With Oct 1 Proposed Enforcement Of Speed Limiting Device

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has said that there is no going back on the October 1 deadline for the enforcement of speed limiting device on commercial and heavy duty vehicles operating in Nigeria.

Mr Boboye Oyeyemi, the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer of FRSC, made this declaration on Saturday at the Joint States’ Chairmen and National Executive Council meeting of the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), held at Doko Hotel, Minna, Niger State capital.

He directed all commercial and heavy duty vehicles to begin installing the device before the due date as there would be dire consequences for defaulters after the deadline.
