Despite the scandal rocking Nigeria’s House of Representatives, the Speaker of the House who is at the center of the allegations has said he will not resign.
Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin had earlier alleged that the speaker and 11 other members of the House of Reps padded the 2016 budget.
Although the All Progressives Congress already asked Hon. Jibrin to refrain from making public statements, he has already made several damaging allegations against the Speaker.
Yakubu Dogara met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Villa today in a bid to resolve the crisis but he came out defiant, insisting that despite an impending vote of no confidence on his office, he will not resign.

Reports indicate that members of the House of Reps are making moves to impeach the speaker but it appears he’s willing to fight to the death for his position.
