Idris Kpotun IbrahimThe Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris, is expected to begin a two-day working visit to Lagos State from today.

Mr. Idris’ visit is believed to be connected to the frequent attacks on members of the public by suspected militants.

Following the senseless attacks especially around Ikorodu, Igondo and Arepo, most residents of the areas are fast losing faith in the ability of the police to secure lives and properties as the militants become more daring.

It was further learnt that the acting IGP was worried by the high level of insecurity in Lagos and parts of Ogun State and would use the visit to brainstorm with his officers and men on how to redress the situation.
