MASSOB Knocks FG, MEND Over Conditions To Free Nnamdi Kanu, Others

massob_logoThe Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, on Sunday lampooned the federal government and Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, who are currently engaged in a dialogue to end the new wave of violence in the oil-rich Niger Delta, describing their condition to free detained Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, as laughable.

The spokesperson for MEND, Jomo Gbomo, had in an online statement weekend, disclosed that during the course of dialogue with the government, it was agreed among others that Mr. Kanu, who is leader of the pro-secession group, Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, would be released on the that he renounces the agitation of Biafra Republic.

Frowning at the condition for the release of Kanu, the Leader of MASSOB, Uche Madu, in a terse statement issued to journalists in Enugu yesterday, insisted that the agitation for Biafra Republic was hinged on self-determination, which has become a spiritual movement that cannot be stopped by any force.
