Senator Ben Bruce last week suggested that government should consider increasing minimum wage because right now, a bag of rice, which is one of the most commonly consumed staple costs N19,000. The Senator took to his Twitter page this morning to solicit advise from his follower on how to ease the burden on the millions of minimum wage workers in Nigeria now things are so expensive.
How does a man earning 18,000 Naira feed, clothe & house his family when a bag of rice costs more than his monthly salary? #RemakeNigeria

A lot of his followers proffered solutions they feel would help turn the Nigerian situation;
1.Cut earnings Of Legislators
@benmurraybruce let NASS cut there earning the staggering figure received by NASS members is too much. They receive more than USA senators

@benmurraybruce govt won’t do anything. PDP nor APC. Let the rich invest on the youths. Nd stop gunning for political posts #do what u can#

4.Battle inflation
@benmurraybruce. If govt can battle inflation and make prices of essential commodity come down there will be no need for increase in wages..

And Ben Bruce says;
Nigeria is spending too much money maintaining a big government that is quite frankly a luxury in these lean times #RemakeNigeria
— Ben Murray-Bruce (@benmurraybruce) August 15, 2016
Our current structural issues are not the fault of PMB or the APC or GEJ or the PDP. This is a fault with the system #RemakeNigeria
