New Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr took charge of the senior squad for the first time on Tuesday as the team began training sessions ahead of Saturday’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania.

After initial flight delays from Lagos, the Franco-German tactician and a number of players finally arrived Uyo on Tuesday, August 30.

On arrival at the team’s Le Meridien Hotel, media reports say, Coach Rohr had a meeting with his backroom staff and players present, before the evening’s training session at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

In camp as at Tuesday evening were Skipper Mikel John Obi, assistant captain Ahmed Musa, goalkeepers Emmanuel Daniel and Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Chidozie Awaziem, Jamiu Alimi, Musa Muhammed, Abdullahi Shehu, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong and Elderson Echiejile. Others are Wolfred Ndidi, Ogenyi Onazi, Nosa Igiebor, Imoh Ezekiel, Brown Ideye, Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen, Odion Ighalo and Victor Moses.
