The Nigeria Police Force in Rivers State have made a giant stride in their efforts to rescue kidnapped victims in the state as the rescued a thirteen-year-old girl, a lecturer of the University of Port Harcourt and others who were recently abducted in the state.
According to reports, the lecturer was said to have been abducted at the school’s environment while the girl was kidnapped in Oyigbo area.
Parading the suspects, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Dsp Nnamdi Omoni, added that some hoodlums, robbers and members of deadly gangs that have been terrorizing Ahoada East and other communities wwere also arrested.
He stated that over 70 arms and ammunition were recovered in two weeks across the state. He however, plead with residents to help the police in protecting lives and properties by providing useful information and reporting suspicious behaviours.
