Adamawa State Govt To Employ 149 New Nurses

The Governor of Adamawa State, Jibrilla Muhammadu Bindow, has approved the employment of 149 new nurses in the state.

The state Head of Service, Musa Kaibo, revealed this in Yola, the state capital while receiving in attendance the new General Secretary of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, NANNM, Thomas Shettima who hails from the state.

According to Mr. Kaibo, the plan is to ensure there are enough nurses in hospitals across the state.

He lauded the emergence of Mr. Shettima, as the General Secretary of NANNM and urged him to be a good ambassador of the state.

Gov Bindow while speaking at the ceremony, reiterate his administration’s commitment to the welfare of health workers.

He said that the salary of health workers, particularly nurses, has been regular in the state, adding that his administration will continue to improve on it.

He also lauded Mr. Shettima and urged him to continue to make the state proud and remain a good ambassador.
