Gombe State Releases N100m For Payment Of Gratuity

N100 million has been reportedly released by the Gombe State government for the payment of gratuity to workers who retired from service in 2012.

According to the Head of Civil Service, Gombe state, Dr Daniel Musa, N75 million would be used for payment of gratuities to 48 retirees while the remaining N25 million would be used in settling pension arrears.

Musa who disclosed this on Wednesday said that Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo has promised to release N100 million monthly for the payment of accumulated gratuity to retirees in the state.

The move has been commended by state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Malam Haruna Kamara. He said the Governor put “smiles on the faces of the retirees.”
