The Lagos and Ogun State Police Commands has launched a joint operation for the  search of the Isheri landlord kidnappers.

According to the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, a superintendent of police, there is a strategy plan aimed at ensuring that the abducted victims were rescued alive.

She said the command would not argue over jurisdiction as it has taken the lead to ensure that the victims are rescued alive.

“Everyone knows that the place falls right under the jurisdiction of the Ogun State command, but the Lagos State Police Command always wants to take the lead and partner with other commands.

“We have activated the rescue process and by the grace of God, the victims would be rescued alive,” she said.

A resident, John Kosiso, informed journalists that “the gunmen came through the creeks and took away the landlords.

“The landlords were having a routine physical exercise near the Lekki Gardens Estate in Isheri when the armed gunmen invaded the area.

“The gunmen, numbering about eight, were said to have covered their faces with masks and threatened to kill anyone who resisted them.

“The landlords usually have their Saturday fitness training near Lekki Gardens Estate, beside the bush. They also abducted the physical trainer,” he said.
