Lukaku’s Hat-trick Sinks Sunderland

It was an evening for the record books as Everton striker, Romelu Lukaku scored a second-half hat-trick to help his side to a 3-0 away win at Sunderland.

His eleven-minute hat-trick is the second fastest ever recorded in the Premier league and it was quite a spectacular way for the 23-year old to end his goal drought.

It also ensured that Koeman recorded his second away win in charge of the Toffees. Despite a drab first half, Everton burst to life to stun David Moyes’ team, enough to make Koeman describe Lukaku as ‘one of the best’.

There was nothing for Moyes to do but bemoan his team’s lack of concentration and defensive frailties, claiming they had made it far too easy for Lukaku.
