President Buhari Arrives New york With A 64 Man Delegation!

If there’s a recession, it’s definitely not being felt at the upper echelons of government in Nigeria. Nigeria is famous for her extravagant public officials who are not scared to tap into the public coffers as they junket around the globe.

The 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly once again provided proof of the government’s insensitivity as well as its unwillingness to cut costs.

It is ironic when one considers that the Buhari administration promised to reduce the number of aircraft in the Presidential fleet. That promise appears long forgotten as ten jets are still maintained by the Presidency.

The President arrived New York on Sunday but with such a large delegation, one would have easily confused the General Assembly session for a party of sorts. President Buhari’s delegation consisted an advance team of 16, 14 Presidential aides, 32 Ministers & Aides and 24 Foreign Affairs & other MDAs staff.
