The explosive failure of the Samsung Note 7 has opened the door for Android-based smartphones to fill a vacuum this year and Chinese smartphone makers, Xiaomi are in with a bang.
The release of Xiaomi’s latest flagship phone, the Xiaomi Mi Mix was announced yesterday and from the first look and a starting price of $520, there’s enough to suggest that the Google Pixel has met its match.
Xiaomi Mi Mix Has No Bezels
It is the first time a smartphone has actually pulled off a bezel-free design as the Mi Mix is all screen across three edges. It’s also a pretty big screen at 6.4 inches, it packs a resolution of 2,048 x 1,080 resolution.
The Mi Mix Also Packs A Powerful Processor
Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB and 6GB RAM models, 128GB and 256GB of storage. That’s enough power to handle whatever you’re likely going to throw at it!
Great Price
For all its jaw-dropping specs, the clincher with Xiaomi Mi Mix has to be the price. It will be available at $520, way cheaper than the Google Pixel and the overly expensive iPhone 7.
Throw in a 4,440mAh battery and we can only hope the Xiaomi is not as explosive as the Note 7.
