President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly ordered the release of the former National Security Adviser, Dasuki Sambo.
Sambo served as National Security Adviser during the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
Samba is facing trial for allegedly stealing the sum of $51 million billion as part of a larger $2.1 billion misappropriated for the purchase or arms for the Nigerian army.
An ECOWAS court recently ruled that the Nigerian government should release Dasuki and fined the Federal Government $15m. Vanguard Newspaper reports a source as saying the condition for his release is an agreement that the stolen fund be returned.
