Plots of land and cars have been proposed for both players and officials of Enugu Rangers after they emerged winners of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
African Football quoted a top government official saying: “Government is looking at the possibility of rewarding the team with plots of land and cars.
“Already officials have surveyed an area around the Enugu GRA and there are assurances that before the end of this month, the team will be new car owners.”
Rangers finished top of the Nigeria premier league on Sunday with 63 points from 36 matches after they beat El Kanemi Warriors 4-0 at home.
NPFL runners-up Rivers United, and winners Rangers will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Champions League.
