Four suspects, alleged to have been part of the gang that kidnapped four landlords of Oshorun Heritage Estate in the Isheri area of Lagos State, have been arrested by the police.
Our correspondent learnt that one of the suspects, identified as Musa Muhammed, was arrested on Saturday in the Sapele area of Delta State, while the three others were arrested in Ondo State.
They were arrested by the Inspector-General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team, Abuja.
It had been reported that the gunmen kidnapped their victims, who were jogging in the area, on September 17.
It was also reported that the landlords regained their freedom five days later, after paying undisclosed ransoms to the kidnappers.
A police source in Delta told our correspondent on Sunday that Muhammed had been identified by the landlords.
He said, “The four suspects have confessed to the kidnap and one of them has also been identified by the victims. The suspects said the kidnap was carried out by 11 members of the gang.”
The Force Police Public Relations Officer, DCP Don Awunah, confirmed the arrest, adding that the suspects would be charged to court.
