Manchester City Thrash West Brom To End Winless Streak

Manchester City rose to the occasion to end Pep Guardiola’s longest winless streak as a manager.

A humbling loss to Barcelona in the Champions League and an unconvincing performance against United meant they had lost their last two matches.

Away to West Bram with an eye on their midweek clash against Barcelona, Vincent Kompany was rested while Fernando played as a right back.

Sergio Aguero was the difference in the first half as he quickly grabbed a brace to give City a firm hold on the match.

The Baggies played better in the second half, as they looked threatening but ultimately City stood firm.  Gundogan added a third to put the match beyond doubt and then completed his brace in the match’s closing minutes.
