Nigerian Arrested In Morocco For Cocaine Trafficking

A Nigerian national has been arrested by security services at the Casablanca Mohammed V airport in Morocco, on Saturday night, for alleged trafficking of cocaine.

The suspect was reported to have arrived on a flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil and was bound for Conakry, Guinea.

He was arrested after undergoing a CT scan that revealed the presence of drug capsules in his stomachs, the national police said in a statement.

He was put under medical supervision in the Ibn Rochd hospital of Casablanca for the removal of the capsules, and an investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, the same source added.
