Nigerian Naval Ship NNS Unity Arrives Sri Lanka Port On ‘Goodwill Visit’

In accordance with naval traditions, a Nigerian naval ship was welcomed by the Sri Lankan Navy at the Port of Colombo on Wednesday.

The Nigerian Navy Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV), NNS Unity, arrived at the Port of Colombo this morning (5) on a goodwill visit, the Sri Lankan Navy said.

The ship which was just constructed in China, is on its maiden voyage to Nigeria and is scheduled to pay port calls on some ports of friendly nations before arriving in the country in the first week of November.

The departs Sri Lanka October 7, and is scheduled to engage in a number of programs organised by the Sri Lanka Navy.
