On Thursday morning, the news of the release of twenty-one Chibok girls emerged.
The girls were released after negotiations were brokered by the International Red Cross and the Swiss government, it was reported.
The girls were picked up by a military helicopter from Banki, a border town in Bama local government area of Borno State.
They were later taken to Maiduguri Air Force base were they were immediately flown to Abuja.
In Abuja, they met with the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, as President Muhammadu Buhari is currently out of the country on a trip to Germany.
