In what is coming as a shock move, embattled South African President, Jacob Zuma is facing a threat to his leadership after tourism minister Derek Hanekom tabled a formal motion for the president to step down. Zuma has survived three votes of confidence in the South African Parliament but Derek Hanekom stunned Zuma and his backers when he tabled a motion for him to step down at the national executive committee (NEC) meeting yesterday.
