Man Charged For Stealing Grandmother’s Ashes

A man in the US has been charged with burglary after allegedly breaking into his parent’s home and stealing his grandmother’s ashes.

26-year-old Jacob Stulken was said to have entered his parent’s residence through the kitchen window and took an urn that contained his grandmother’s ashes.

According to court documents, Stulken from Mitchell, South Dakota damaged several items in the home and threw what appeared to be baking powder around the residence.

When Stulken was arrested, police allegedly found the urn in his back pocket, along with two marijuana pipes and marijuana residue.

He was arrested last month and was charged with first-degree burglary, and could face a prison sentence of up to 25 years and a fine above $50,000, due to his possession of marijuana.
