American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has said he will end his career after making two more movies which will make it 10 in his career.
The Django Unchained director made the revelation while speaking at the Adobe Max creativity conference in Carlifornia, USA.
“Drop the mic. Boom. Tell everybody, ‘Match that shit,'” he said at the conference on San Diego Thursday afternoon. “Hopefully, the way I define success when I finish my career is that I’m considered one of the greatest filmmakers that ever lived. And going further, a great artist, not just filmmaker.”
Tarantino has always said he will retire once he reaches 10 films.
Back in 2014, the 53-year-old said, “It’s not etched in stone, but that is the plan…I am planning to stop at 10 [films], but at 75 I might decide I have another story to do“.
The other films of the Oscar-winning filmmaker also include Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, The Hateful Eight and Inglourious Basterds.
