The US presidential elections have captured global attention for the sheer drama in its buildup. Americans head to the polls today with a mandate to choose between the Republican candidate, Donald Trump and the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton.
Both candidates are holding last-minute events in swing states in an attempt to curry favor with voters even as some of the latest polls suggest Clinton will edge it.
If she does, she will become the first female President of the United States. She is scheduled to hold two events in Pennsylvania, one in Michigan and another one in North Carolina, while Trump is scheduled to be in Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and Michigan.
Trump has spent most of his last minute campaigns accusing the FBI of covering up Clinton’s email scandal.
“Hilary Clinton is being protected by a totally rigged system,” he said
“My contract with the American voter begins with a plan to end government corruption, and take back our country … from the special interests who I know so well. When we win tomorrow, we are going to drain the swamp.”
