Court Orders Michigan To Begin Recount Of US Presidential Election Votes

A U.S. District Judge Mark Goldsmith has issued an order for Michigan election officials to begin counting ballots starting today.
The ruling is as a result of a request from Green Party presidential candidate, Jill Stein after a thin margin saw Donald Trump ended up winning Michigan’s 16 electoral votes by just 0.2 percentage points, or just under 10,000 votes out of over 5.5 million cast.
Michigan is the second state where  a recount has been ordered after Wisconsin as Jill Stein continues efforts to ensure recounts are held in Pennsylvania.
The recount will cost an estimated $7 million.
