“Manchester City Disrespected Celtic” – Roy Keane

Football pundit, Roy Keane has lashed out at Premier League club, Manchester City and accused them of distrspecting Celtic. His comments referred to Pep Guardiola’s decision to change nine of his first team players in their match against Celtic in the Champions league.

With qualification already assured, Guardiola gave first team berths to Tosin Adarabioyo, Pablo Maffeo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Silly Caballero and a host of others.

Celtic went ahead as early as the fourth minute through Patrick Roberts who is a Manchester City player on loan. The Citizens equalized just four minutes later through Kelechi Iheanacho.

Keane said, “Their squad probably isn’t as good as maybe Manchester City think or even the manager.

“Obviously they knew they were already through but they showed a lot of disrespect to Celtic and Celtic were the slightly better team and could have gone on to win.”

Having said that, I thought the defending from Manchester City was absolutely shocking. They showed a lot of arrogance towards the game last night and perhaps disrespect to Celtic.”
