The family of late Mr. Idowu Taiwo, have been thrown into a state mourning after his body was discovered in a car by the roadside in Ado Ekiti on Monday.
Mr Taiwo, a Superintendent of Police of the Ekiti State Command, was said to have been abducted by some hoodlums who stormed his residential area in the Ologede area of the state capital on Sunday.
Reports say, Taiwo until his death was the Officer-in-Charge of Finance at the Ekiti State Police Command
Confirming the incident, the State Police Spokesperson, Mr. Alberto Adeyemi, said no arrest have been made yet, but investigations have started in earnest to get the culprits and bring them to justice.
“It is a sad development, Adeyemi said, he was taken away from where he was in the Ologede area and was later found dead in the Ajebamidele area of the same Ajilosun.
“His remains was left in a car in the Ajebamidele area of the town.”
