Nigerian forward Brown Ideye has joined his compatriot Mikel Obi at Chinese Super League (CSL) side Tianjin Teda.
Ideye is reported to be currently Teda’s most expensive signing in history following a deal is worth €12 million from Olympiakos.
Prior to his move, the 28-year-old has been in fine form for the Greek club, helping his team win the domestic title with his 13 goals last season.
According to Supersport, Olympiakos decided to cash in and sell Ideye to the Chinese side due to financial constraints.
Ideye becomes the latest of a growing Nigerian influx into the CSL that includes Obafemi Martins, Odion Ighalo and Anthony Ujah.
