Nigerian Players Shine In European Leagues During The Weekend

Nigerian midfielder Raheem Lawal was on target for Kayserispor in their 2-2 home draw against Kasimpasa in the Turkish top flight on Sunday.

Lawal scored in the 73rd minute to put Kayserispor 2-1 ahead.

In action for Kasimpasa was Emem Eduok who was introduced in the 68th minute.

Also in Turkey, Super Eagles defender featured for Alanyaspor who lost 2-1 away to Istanbul Basaksehir.

Omeruo played 90 minutes in the game.

In the Dutch Eredivisie (first division), Super Eagles invitee Tyronne Ebuehi made a 90 minute appearance for ADO Den Haag in their 1-1 away draw against Utrecht.

In the Spanish LaLiga, Elderson Echiejile was benched for 90 minutes as Sporting Gijon lost 1-0 at home to Deportivo La Coruna.

His only game for Gijon since joining them on loan from AS Monaco was their 6-1 loss to Barcelona last Wednesday.

And in the French Ligue 1, former Nigeria international goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama was the hero for Lille in their 1-1 away draw against Toulouse.

With the game tied at 1-1 and with five minutes left, Toulouse were awarded a penalty which Enyeama saved.
